Let's grow a forest together

Black Friday has now stretched into weeks of pre- and post-sales, flooding our inboxes with blinking neon discount announcements. The concept of Black Friday doesn’t align with our values. That’s why, six years ago, we launched our Plant Friday campaign instead.

This year, from November 27th to 30th, for every order placed on our website, we’ll finance the planting of a fruit tree in India.

For our Plant Friday campaign, we’re partnering with the non-profit organization One Tree Planted. The goal is to raise awareness about the benefits of reforestation and give your purchase extra meaning, instead of encouraging impulsive shopping.

So, why do we do it?

We simply don’t believe in the concept of urging and pushing for shopping due to a specific day; it doesn’t align with our brand or our core values. We are on a constant mission to do better, and we’re always looking for ways to give back to nature. Since we started our collaboration with One Tree Planted, we’ve donated over 34,000 fruit trees to local farmers in India.

Why support reforestation in India

Why fruit trees? Like any vegetal being, fruit trees do their natural share in the fight to mitigate climate change by absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere throughout their whole lifetime. But in addition, fruit trees also increase the income of local farming communities and provide food supplies. The trees will also fight pollution, conserve water, and prevent soil erosion because that’s what trees do!

The reason why we specifically donate to projects in India is because 90% of our production is done there and we’d like to give something back.
