Working with reliable and credible certificates is an important part of our company. Showing that we're serious about our Sustainable mission. DEDICATED has a Fairtrade license, and is certified by GOTS.

Fairtrade cotton

Fairtrade exists to put the spotlight on farmers who are left invisible in a complex supply chain. Making sure they get paid properly and don’t have to put their life at risk to have an income. On top of that, Fairtrade premiums are given to villages for investments in schools, infrastructure, and other social improvements. Today 100 Million households are directly engaged in cotton production, in 85 countries. But only 13% produce sustainably. Fairtrade Standards aims to protect farmers health and safety and ban genetically modified cotton seeds. Supporting Fairtrade means helping those who need it the most.

Their main focus is to check the organic status of the cotton, and to make sure no toxic chemicals are being used at any step of the production. For a garment to be labeled “GOTS Organic”, it must contain 95-100% organic cotton and cannot be mixed with non-sustainable fibers. GOTS also inspect the factories against strict social criteria. Ensuring safe working conditions, no discrimination, and no child labor.

Our suppliers are certified by reliable and legit social standards. This means that the factories had to go through an audit. Our supply chain holds the following standards:

GRS

The Global Recycled Standard is the first standard that aims to set requirements for products made out of recycled materials. The GRS certification is a holistic standard that verifies that a product has the recycled content it claims to have.

The Standard applies to products that contain 20% or more Recycled materials, but also apply to the supply chain of companies involved in the production of GRS products.

The standard contains four types of requirements:

• Product requirements
• Social requirements
• Environmental requirements
• Chemical requirements

“Each stage of production is required to be certified, beginning at the recycling stage and ending at the last seller in the final business-to-business transaction. Material Collection and Material Concentration sites are subject to self-declaration, document collection, and on-site visits.”

SA8000

The SA8000® Standard was established in 1997, and is a certification that encourages organizations to develop, maintain, and apply socially acceptable practices in the workplace. ''Local Accredited Certification Bodies'' are in charge of the auditing. They visit the factories and evaluate them through working practices, employee interviews, and operational records. If the organization is compliant with the standard then it is granted a SA8000 certificate valid for three years.

WRAP

WRAP is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting ethical and safe manufacturing. WRAP is the world’s largest certification program for textile industries, and the audit process is complex.

The WRAP program certifies facilities with the 12 WRAP principles, which are contained within the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization.

After a pre-audit self-assessment to ensure that the facility can apply, a WRAP-accredited monitoring organization is chosen to audit the factory. The audit is then reviewed by WRAP teams who decide if they pass the requirements.

The 12 WRAP consists:

Compliance with laws and workplace regulations
Prohibition of forced labor
Prohibition of child labor
Prohibition of harassment or abuse
Compensation and benefits as required by law
Legal Working hours
Prohibition of discrimination
Health and safety
Freedom of Association and Right to Collective Bargaining
Environment
